The area around Outdoor Alternative
Rhoscolyn is a small community with a church, a chapel and a pub.

The Centre sits in seven acres of grazing land allowing space for camping and games playing. Although not served by a public right of way we have access, by kind permission, to the surrounding headland.

The main beach in Rhoscolyn, Borthwen, is 5 minutes walk from the centre. It is a sheltered bay with a golden sand crescent beach and is safe for swimming and ideal for non-powered water sports.

Rhoscolyn, at the southern end of Holy Island is well placed for access to the Isle of Anglesey's many and varied places of interest. Just 6 miles from the port of Holyhead, we are close to the major communication links.

There are many interesting places to visit in the local area.
Historical sites include: the impressive prehistoric burial chamber, Barclodiad Y Gawres; the iron age hillfort and bronze age mountain hut group near Holyhead and the castle at Beaumaris.
