Bird Watching

Anglesey has a fabulous range of natural habitats, and of these Holy Island is probably the prime site for bird watching on the Island.

Around the Centre there are Chough, Raven and Peregrine breeding as well as Stonechat, Rock Pipit, Shag and Cormorant.

There is year round bird interest: summer produces feeding movement of Manx Shearwater and Gannet and a splendid list of breeding birds; autumn often gives excellent sea watching and there is always great migration potential.

The RSPB South Stack reserve is close, and other excellent local spots such as the Inland Sea, Beddmanarch Bay, Soldiers Point and The Range frequently feature on Birdline North-West with good birds.

The remainder of Anglesey is readily accessible with, for example, handy year-ticks like Black Guillemot.

Guided bird watching trips can be available on request.
